Rikard Holmdahl, a member of the Nobel Conference for the Nobel Prize in Medicine, International Leading Scientist, MD, PhD, is professor of the Karolinska Institute of Medicine, and, is the head of the Center for Medical Immunology. The center consists of a laboratory and an animal model platform that is based on molecular mechanisms to study autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and is dedicated to the diagnosis and prevention of these diseases. Dr. Holmdahl has published peer reviewed papers in a number of leading journals including Nature, Nature Genetics, PNAS, Nature Medical, Science, Cell, journal of clinical investigation, The Journal of Experimental Medicine.
